Software Engineering | Cybersecurity

Hi! My name is Sif. Thank you for visiting! I am open to a part / full time position in a Software Engineer or Cybersecurity role, preferably remote. I finished my Master's program early this year and I am currently working in an amazing company that delivers Identity Management and Cloud solutions to clients big and small. One of my interest is creating and using tools to defend this country and the organizations in this country. I have experience writing production level code. Whether it's for a potential project or just to say hi, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I've been exposed to a lot of stacks personally and professionally. As I'm early in my career, this section will continue to grow.

Privacy Tracker

I wrote Privacy Tracker to be an on-going online project where I track companies and their privacy practice. It is true that many companies are unwilling or unable to enforce their privacy policy (let alone other policies they claim have).

information security, compliance, privacy policy, django, python, mysql, full-stack, data modeling, sdlc, user interfaces

Malware Scanner

I created an online and offline tool to make it easier scan malware hashes. While performing analysis, you often want to know if it's a known problem or if it's new. If you're curious (it's perfectly safe), feel free to visit this site and take a look at the MD5 hashes ( of virus samples.

No Gato

I was trying to convince my significant other that I didn't want a cat by showing her all the possibilities of cats out there. She would look at random pictures of cats and be indecisive. It worked for a while until she brought home a cat from a family friend.

"What Grade Would NYU Give Me?"

I decided to have a little fun after I read an article about Harvard's grade inflation. Just hit refresh if you're not happy with your grade. I don't believe my alma mater to have this problem, so I created this site to reflect that. The original generator site for Harvard showed that you could only get a grade of A or B.

The Programming Language Beacon

I wrote a Wget shell script to mirror the page. It is one of my most cited page in language wars discussions.

The Illustrated Guide to a Ph.D

Inspiring work, since I could relate to it. Please visit the original author, Matt Might's site for this file at The Illustrated Guide to a Ph.D.
